Made in DT's European facility, the 3rd generation ARC 1100's use a fully proprietary carbon rim developed in conjunction with the Aero research team at Swiss Side and extensively tested at the GST wind tunnel just over the border in Germany
The new rim design features a 22 mm internal width optimised for 28-30mm tyres in a unique hybrid V-shape that allows the use of deeper rims whilst giving superior crosswind stability even compared to the previous shallower designs
The rim's construction also takes advantage of developments in DT's in house carbon manufacturing with a further refined carbon lay-up and prefect 'out the mold' finish requiring no additional cosmetic veneer to be added
Every rim produced is scanned internally so each individual layer of the carbon can be checked prior to assembly
The result is a weight saving of up to 158 grams a pair versus the previous generation despite being both wider and deeper
As you'd expect from the leading hub engineering force in cycling, DICUT 180s with 36 tooth Ratchet EXP and SiNC ceramic bearings are the light, simple, low drag and still just as reliable and easy to service as the legendary 240
DT and Swiss Side's continuing leading-edge research into rotational drag and its effect on performance has lead to the premium Aerolite II spokes which are used throughout these wheelsets
The front wheel comes ready for 12 x 100 mm thru axles, rear comes ready for 12 x 142 mm thru axles

As a WTS system these wheels come with the ground breaking. DT-developed Continental Aero 111 as a front tyre and GP 5000 STR for the rear, the wheels also include high performance TPU tubes wheel bags, tubeless rim tape and lightweight tubeless valves, Rears have both Shimano Road and SRAM XDR freehubs included
